How to install a NOWA system
Four easy steps
Want to make sure that installing a NOWA 4Se system will work in your home before purchasing it? Here’s an overview of the installation process. Note that the following instructions are provided for informational purposes only. For the full procedure, please refer to the installation and user manual included with your NOWA 4Se kit.

Installing the automatic shut-off valve
The NOWA valve must be installed downstream and as close as possible to the main water supply valve. It can be installed as normally open (remains open even when the system is no longer powered) or normally closed (remains closed even in case of a cut wire, disconnection, or poor connection).
Although it’s a relatively simple task, we strongly recommend having it installed by a certified plumber to avoid issues due to improper installation, preserve the manufacturer’s warranty, and meet insurance requirements.

Creating a PRESENCE account
Using the system requires creating a NOWA PRESENCE account. To obtain such an account, you must first send an email to be invited to the platform by your installer or by NOWA. You will then need to enter some information on your smart device via the Play Store or App Store app. A step-by-step guide is available to walk you through the process.

Installing the 4Se control panel
The control panel must be installed near the water supply. Due to the length of its power cable, it is recommended to have or install an electrical outlet within 9.5 ft. (2.89 m) of the NOWA valve. (The cable can be extended; see the manual for details.) Installation can be done with concealed cables; make a small opening in the wall and insert the wires through it and into the center of the panel’s wall mount to connect the terminals. For installation with visible cables, no wall opening is necessary; simply insert the wires at the bottom of the panel’s wall mount and secure it to the wall (screws provided). Then gently press the control panel onto its mount until it clicks into place.

Installing and testing sensors
Your NOWA system must be configured online; you can refer to the setup guide we’ve prepared to help you. Once configured, the sensors can be installed and tested. Simply touch two detection poles under the sensor with two wet fingers to test it; the system should receive an alarm signal. If everything is working, go to the location the sensor will protect, determine the lowest point where water is likely to accumulate, and place the sensor there. Repeat this procedure for each sensor to be installed.
